Trial with Purpose by Glenda L. Krupnick

As I read through the story of Joseph's engagement with Mary, his response to the news of Mary's pregnancy inspired me so much that I had to write about it. We are all facing some kind of trial, problem or difficulty, and as I personally reflect on mine, I want to inspire you to do the same with yours as you read this today. In Joesph's story, I believe there are behavioral principles and attitudes we can imitate when facing problems in life. The holy conception of Jesus in Mary, in essence, puts Joseph to the test because the baby, our beloved Jesus, wasn't conceived by him. She was supposed to be a virgin as far as he was concerned and the news broke out before he had any idea God had conceived this child by the power of His spirit.
