Sonship & Stewardship #4 by Karla Blackah

Sonship & Stewardship Series . Sons & Daughters serve even when it’s not easy. 😥 . Some seasons of serving are harder than others. 🥵 . Would you clean someone’s feet with your hair? 🤔 .   Mary did so Jesus’ feet with a bottle of perfume worth a year’s wages! 😳 . How willing is your heart to serve? How extravagant? How unrestricted? 🤐 . Prayer:  Lord, check our hearts,  help us to be willing to serve extravagantly, unrestricted,  not disregarding our time with you but prioritizing our time with you.    In your name, we pray, Amen.! 🙏🏽 . We serve from His presence!   In our humility to Him, we are directed and equipped to do His good works. 🙌🏽 .   Jesus is the ultimate example of serving directly from the presence of the Father. 😇 . The Authority We Carry by John Blackah

The Authority We Carry by John Blackah " The Word of God is activated when you act in faith." "We need to understand who our God is and then we need to act on it!" Let us not abandon our authority because of the storms we face instead,  let us take responsibility for our own actions! "If you fall, humble yourself and comeback to Him." "Don't be the one making excuses... take ownership of your life." I love John's humility in his messages acknowledging this word is  as much for him as is for all of us. Be blessed by it!

Coming Home by Karla B. Blackah

INSPIRED BY JOHN BLACKAH'S WORD ON COVENANT NAMES OF GOD JEHOVAH-RAPHA THE LORD WHO HEALS YOU

John Blackah is my son in law and today he got to speak on the covenant name of God, Jehovah-Rapha.  This word is so personal to me because my relationship with Jesus grew roots through this very name.  He came alive to me through the scriptures in Isaiah when I read that,  "... He was pierced for our transgressions,  He was crushed for our iniquities;  the punishment that brought us peace was on Him,  and by His wounds we are (I am)  healed ." Is. 53:5       Jehovah Rapha brought healing to my life and peace to my mind.        He's still keeping me in peace because His word says, He keeps in perfect peace those who trust in Him!  In his preaching, John spoke from the scriptures of Exodus 15:22-27 where Moses took action based on what the Lord had showed him.   In  Exodus 15:25   "Moses cried out  to the  Lord ,  and  the  Lord  showed him a pie...

HIS REALNESS IN MY LIFE

As part of the leadership of the High School group at my church, the 9th grade girls often pick bible plans for all of us to do together.  Sunday morning, the Bible devotion plan referenced Jesus emptying of Himself for His obedience to death on the cross referencing the book of Philippians Chapter 2 with the following verses: In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God,     did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing     by taking the very nature of a servant,     being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man,     he humbled himself     by becoming obedient to death—         even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place     and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every ...

Glenda's Mom 70th Birthday

This post is in honor of my Mom’s 70th Birthday Today! 🎊 . According to her, I was the biggest cry baby as a baby and toddler. 😭 .   As I was growing I remember testing the waters. 🤫 . As I became a teenager I went from a little rebellious to a lot rebellious and becoming a Mom at 19 years of age. 🤰🏻 .   I do not regret a thing anymore… there was a time I did. 🤷🏻‍♀️ . I love my daughter too much to have regrets. 👧🏻 . As I parented my own daughter, God spoke to me one day and reminded me that in order for me to expect any respect from my daughter, I needed to honor my own Mother. 😔 . I set out to honor her in the best way that I could and still can as my time with her is being redeemed.  👵🏻 . I pray each day to have so much time with her that neither her or I remember anything other than the new memories God is granting us to make! 🙇🏻‍♀️ . “‘Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, that you...

HOW TO HANDLE DEFEAT

Defeat is one of the subjects that many people don’t like to talk about unless they've achieved success or some sense of satisfaction after experiencing it.  We know people feel defeated at times but seldom hear practical ways to overcome it.  We often hear "failure is not an option"...  (I remember saying this to myself recently)  or "Do it right the first time" . But what happens when you  experience defeat? We have personal relationship failures, and the principles of how we have personally handle defeat could apply to any failure.  However, I would like to focus on the area of defeat in our professional lives.   My husband was a successful business owner from the age 23.  However, after  10 years in an unstable partnership, he decided to get out.   He was semi-retired for 5 years expecting a large sum of money that would have set us up for decades. When the time came, the contract went unfulfilled due to the real estate mark...
